On Celtic Reflections, Barry invites listeners to join him as he explores another aspect of his musical life. Known for his stirring performances of major romantic and classical repertoire, here he turns his attention to music from his native Ireland – from ancient melodies to pieces by contemporary songwriters. Barry, who arranged each of the eighteen pieces on the album, is joined on three tracks by traditional Irish flautist Eimear McGeown, including her own compositions “Inis” and “The Mushroom Tree”.
